'Safety Matches' is a short film in production by 3rd and final year Film and Television students attending Curtin University in Western Australia. We are all passionate and excited in our final year to be creating this film!
The film centres on a well meaning kid, Floyd, who is roped into robbing his local drug dealers house by his misguided best friend Jerry and his older brother Marcus.
Being that this is a student film, we don't have much money behind us, any funding we receive will be put to good use through:
- a safety officer on set to co-ordinate a fight scene
- Special fx makeup (such as blood, squibs etc)
-hired lighting kits
- funds to place our film into short film festivals, to make our work known in the wider film community.
- catering and other small things on shoot to assist in the smooth running of production
The film will be shot in the month of September and screened in November/December.
