visible ink is a yearly anthology of new writing and art. Showcasing emerging writers and artists from all over the place, it features poetry, short stories, art, non fiction, photography and anything else you might find on the printed page.

Since 1989, visible ink has been annually produced by a committee of dedicated RMIT Professional Writing and Editing students. Each year the committee independently calls for submissions, selects entries, edits, typesets and proofreads the book, and manages its printing, publicity, launch, sales and distribution.

With the help of your generous donation on pozible.com, the 2011 inkers' goal is to produce a book to be cherished; one that will curl up in your bookcase and declare itself at home. Your money will go directly to the production of the book, which we hope to print on sustainable paper.  We're so looking forward to its 'new book' smell. We invite you to come along for the ride.

Our call for submissions yielded over 200 responses from talented budding writers and artists all over Australia and since submissions closed in July we have been carefully making our selection, contacting our authors and nerdily marking up manuscripts. Our style-checking queens have pored over every piece in our book while our design team beavers away at creative bits and bobs and our fundraising team works tirelessly to ensure we can make it all happen.
