My debut novel had just been released and I was quickly thrown into the world of being a published author. It was thrilling and exciting and a little scary. I loved it. I was talking to a friend who asked what I was going to write next. I told her honestly that I didn't have a new idea yet. Later that night, I was sitting in bed reading and I was struck by inspiration. I don't know how else to put it but to say that my muse tackled me to the ground and vomited a story into my brain. The whole idea, fully developed characters and plot for three novels were suddenly in my head when a second ago, they hadn't been.

That was the birth of The Time Walker. I sat up late that night writing as much of the information down as possible. I drew sketches, wrote character bios and chapter titles on dozens of pieces of loose leaf paper. I told my friend the idea and as I was speaking it aloud, the idea continued to grow. Supporting characters were born and the story itself grew bigger to include a fourth book.

That was in April of 2011. Since then, I have written complete drafts for the first three novels and am about a quarter the way through the final book. The drafts are very rough and need the eye of a good developmental editor to be ready to show to agents/editors/publishers.

THE TIME WALKER is a heart-achingly powerful love story set in a fantastical world of witchcraft and time travel. It combines paranormal with a hint of steam-punk while keeping the romance alive.

The only challenge I can see is my own motivation. But, I don't foresee it being a problem as the first draft is already written and I'm so motivated to get this project off the ground that I am asking for this support.
