Life in Microcosmos
Explore the magical world of the unseen! Through the use of high powered microscopes the smallest dimensions of life become visible.

The exhibition, "Life in Microcosmos", will envelop the viewer in the fascinating world of nature on a microscopic level.
I am excited to offer you the opportunity to own a piece of the exhibition. By providing your support, you will not only be assisting me in bringing this exhibition to people around the world, but you will also receive your own print to serve as a reminder of the invisible magic that exists in the space between spaces (see below for more information).

The exhibition will consist of 8 images of microscopic life, plants, animals and fungi, that I have taken with a scanning electron microscope. These images are to be photographically printed on 1.5 meters square, water proof, perspex boards.

The exhibition is primarily to be held at this years Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) plant conference in Victoria. EGA is an outdoor festival attracting thousands of people and my images will be displayed across the site, suspended between trees, hammered into the ground and attached to the back the stages etc. They will be illuminated at night time, providing a nice backdrop of glowing, gigantic microorganisms.

The purpose of this proposal is to generate enough financial support to share the exhibition with people all over the world and to enable those who attend to see the world in a whole new light.
The idea is to keep the exhibition moving around Australia over summer 2011-2012 and then display it internationally.
Any funds I receive will be used for the printing and mounting of the photos and for mounting the display on site. All photography equipment and planning has already been completed and paid for.

You can follow the exhibition and see photos from the events on my Facebook fan page http://www.facbook.com/linearphotography and on my website where I have a page specifically dedicated to the exhibition, with credits to everyone who contributed.

A bit about me:
Born in Sweden, with an inherent curiosity and passion for natural science I grew up spending most of my time in nature. As a teenager I was the chairwoman of Faltbiologerna, a Swedish organisation run by, and for youth under 25, with the purpose of sharing knowledge about nature and science. I held workshops on wildlife photography and organised weekly birdwatching mornings in spring. I went on field trips almost every weekend throughout my early high school years and spent the majority of my holidays camping and trekking around Europe.
As I grew older and more experienced my urge to explore and learn about the surrounding environment developed into a quest for communicating an understanding and appreciation for the wonders of the world.
I moved to Melbourne in 2007 to study for a Bachelor of Science/Scientific Photography at RMIT.
Through my studies I found ways to portray the invisible and a passionate relationship with the magical world of the unseen was born.
