100 Years of Lizards is a theatrical comedy musical striving to rain its terror down on the 2012 Adelaide Fringe. This reptilian performance is the latest spawn of the Sexy Tales Comedy Collective, a bunch of creatives living and writhing in Sydney. They are a merry bunch of performers, musicians, writers and directors, who can also meet all your drag queen and black-smithery needs. The show was developed at Underbelly Arts 2011 and debuted as a full show at Crack Theatre Festival over the October long weekend.

We are looking for donations to help us get our show on the road. In return we offer textual favours, tickets to our shows and strange internet dedications.

Millions of years ago a race of lizards waged war against the dinosaurs and won. Now the guilty and chameleonic remnants of that race live on a small island off the coast of Australia, with only a lonely ranger and an obsessed scientist to keep them company. The peaceful balance of the island’s inhabitants is threatened by the appearance of Gazelle de la Gusto. This exuberant TV travel show host has her own agenda – eating endangered animals in a quest for eternal youth. Add a maverick Lizard King and a creepy cold-blooded love triangle, and you’ve got a classic tale of good versus evil and more importantly lizard versus lizard.

100 Years of Lizards will also be performed for one night only at The Friend in Hand in Glebe on November 11th. You can rsvp here: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=273634459336312
