By incorporating experimental music from Australian artists, curated visuals, performance art and interactive elements Wormwood has become a haven for curious and creative souls, as well as a welcoming platform for diverse and DIY bands.

Hello friends known and un-known!

Octopus Pi is myself (as curator) and an amazing visual team - Optic Soup. We want to push Wormwood to the next level by organising Wormwoodstock - The Wormwood Festival, for the benefit of some amazing underground Australian bands (and an international?) and the enjoyment of ze people (you).

Wormwoodstock?

We have a pretty piece of property 1.5 hours from Sydney and an incredible line-up of bands in the works as well as some very achievable ideas. The only thing lacking is the cash to get this off the ground. I'm hoping with some community action we can all make this happen.

Wormwood 3D Sept 2011

What's the big idea?

- An intimate festival of around 200 people

- Friday 27th 8pm to Sunday 29th of January

- 2 nights camping on some very pretty land, 1.5 hours from Sydney (close to train & freeway)

- 20+ inspiring DIY bands and solo artists from around Australia (many already confirmed)

- DJs, performance artists and mind-blowing visuals.

- Activities, relaxation, dancing, friends, fun, DEBAUCHERY and all the usual stuff you can expect at Wormwood...

BUT FOR A WHOLE FREAKING WEEKEND!!!

And the cash?

We need the cash to provide portaloos, a marquee for shade, staging, lighting and a generator.

There is no intention to make profit here - just cover our costs and pay some of the artists involved. We're estimating that $3500 will be needed to get this off the ground.

If you've been and loved it then help us make Wormwoodstock a reality! A contribution of over $35 IS your ticket to the festival, contributing more than $100 gets you 4 tickets to the festival (it could also make a great x-mas present if you're so inclined). If we don't raise enough money NONE of the cash will be withdrawn... but we'll also have to live without Wormwoodstock...
