After a criticially acclaimed season at Adelaide's Feast Festival last November, Eric Kuhlmann brings his new queer bear punk cabaret show to Melbourne's home of cabaret The Butterfly Club for the Midsumma Festival.

We meet, we root, we fall in love and then we die. And we make friends and create families along the way. Red Light Songs of Lust, Love and Death is a brutally funny exploration of sex, love, death and family featuring original songs plus old favourites from Tina Turner and Edith Piaf.

Eric Kuhlmann is a queer bear singer/songwriter and artist living in Adelaide, Australia. He has been writing and performing for over 20 years and has toured around Australia to festivals such as Midsumma (Melbourne), This Is Not Art (Newcastle) and Pride Festival (Perth). As well as performing solo, he is lead vocalist and bass player in Adelaide bear punk band Armpit Stench. He plans to tour Red Light Songs of Lust, Love and Death nationally and internationally through 2012-2013.
