ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Wellbeing Festival is a fresh multi venue arts and music festival, coming soon to a field near Melbourne! A huge project like this takes a lot of capital to get it off the ground. Pozible inspired me to ask for your help to make the festival happen in the next summer festival season (late 2012/ early 2013). All Wellbeing Festival Supporter Offerings are packaged so Supporters have input in creating and experiencing the festival.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

You can help us with start up costs for the festival. Every dollar counts. Pledges start at $1 and there are Reward Packages for all Pledges from $25 to $30,000. Your Pledge will only be processed if we reach our goal. That's right. It's all or nothing! Think of it as paying your festival ticket forward. Pozible has a fully secure credit card portal and your credit card is only debited when the project is successful. Our project is successful when we reach $30,000 and we need that + more to make the festival happen.

THE GRAND PLAN                                 

The plan is to create a mini festival city with lounges, bars, camping zones and venues hosting a mix of music styles + unique experiences. The music is going to be amazing, but The Wellbeing Festival is more than just the latest bands and the latest fads. It's about experiences. There will be workshops, films, markets, demos and talks so you can take part in something, chill out with friends, be entertained, learn something new, meet new people, dance, create something... have an adventure. It's about refreshing your soul, escaping life’s stresses and being part of something new and exciting. Best of all, you have the opportunity to create what The Wellbeing Festival is when you support this project.

THE VISION

The Wellbeing Festival has all the features of a typical music festival + more. The Wellbeing Festival is full of good stuff, good music, good food, good arts, good people and refreshing experiences - cooking classes, yoga, arts and crafts, performers, workshops, artisans, comedy, things to learn, things to look at and take part in. We're going to squeeze as many venues and activities in as our budget allows. Any support above our target of $30,000 enables us to create a diverse and engaging festival.

The Wellbeing Festival will be a best practice green event, but you don't need to be a 'hippy' to enjoy it. This festival is created for you! There will be food and accommodation at different levels to fit your budget and comfort level. We are offering you general camping for those happy camping in a tent or the back of a van, up to more luxury options for those who like to stay in style (“glamping” anyone?) + boutique camping experiences with a difference. There will be affordable food stalls, quirky cafes and bars, all the way up to boutique dining with the finest wines, seasonal organic cocktails and fresh organic produce we can serve up.This isn’t a purely “G” rated event, but we know that life doesn't end when you have children, so we are offering family passes. There will be a dedicated family camping space in the quietest section of the festival site, spaces for mothers and a Childrens program with kid's activities through out the festival. Baby sitting services are going to be looked into... would you like them? This is your Wellbeing Festival. So if you miss going to festivals and think you are a little bit old then maybe this is one you should consider...

This is your festival and you are invited to create it with me.


THE MUSIC

You can expect a hybrid blend of acoustic, folk, roots, soul, world music, and a touch of rock. All the good stuff. Would you like an electro lounge to dance the night away in? All Wellbeing Festival supporters get a chance to share ideas for the festival program.

We are having talks with some of your favorite artists and fresh talent at the moment... watch this space!
