THE PROJECT:
To travel to Moab Desert and photograph the sport of BASE jumping with a fresh perspective. Within the competitive world of adventure sports photography, the challenge is finding that unique shot resulting from perhaps a new angle, unusual destination or simply being in the right place at the right time. By travelling to Moab Desert, an amazing location to photograph an equally amazing sport, I aim to capture images that'll stop you in your tracks. I can't delve too much information on this new idea as I can't have someone else beating me to the punch but let me assure you that I intend on pulling off an extraordinary series of images.
No doubt there'll be bad weather days but I aim to make every minute count and capture other sports whilst based there. Moab Desert is an adventure hub with a range of sports including mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding and plenty more. In the lead up to arriving into Moab desert, I'll be making a pit stop in New York. Recently I received the great news of being accepted in the Eddie Adams Workshop as only 100 photographers were selected worldwide. It's simply an opportunity I can't afford to miss!
WHO AM I?
My name is Krystle Wright and I am a Adventure Sports Photographer based in Sydney. I ABSOLUTELY love the thrill of adventure and putting myself out there in the pursuit of capturing amazing images. Every cent I make has gone straight back into photography whether its investing into new equipment or setting out on a new adventure to seek out new imagery. Adventure Sports photography is my passion and it brings me great pride when my images can bring someone to a standstill and let them momentarily escape to another world they may of not experienced yet.
I am seeking your support to help make this project happen. Not only will I be aiming to produce extraordinary images, this trip will provide me with an amazing opportunity to personally network with major publications, editors, photographers and athletes.

WHY?
You may question on what makes this project so different and how can I differentiate from the norm?
Coming from a sports background and still active through many activities, I aim to capture image's from an athlete's perspective rather than a spectator. I throw myself in physically challenging situations whether it be swimming amongst 8ft waves or hiking hours on end up freezing peaks all in the pursuit of capturing an image that'll truly encapsulate of what the athlete goes through. By heading to Moab, the location is ideal for me to pursue this particular idea I have been chasing and give the viewer an intimate and up close view of such a beautiful yet dangerous sport.
WHERE THE FUNDS GO?
Funds donated to the project will go to cover major costs such as flights, travel expenses and other necessary costs that I'll encounter to pull this project off. My living expenses aren't so much a necessity as I intend on traveling budget style. Any extra funds donated is greatly appreciated and certainly will be used wisely!
ONLINE UPDATES:
If successful, I will be providing updates throughout the trip through FundBreak and also through Facebook and my website/blog that will soon be relaunched very very soon!
Once I return back home, the work will be placed onto my website asap so you can check out what you help made happened! There maybe the chance of an exhibition but no doubt I'll keep you informed as soon as any developments happen and where you can check out the work.
