Who are Kučka?

Kučka are a Perth band, initially starting as a solo laptop performance, headed by Laura Jane Lowther. Since then, Laura has recruited Jake Steele (Injured Ninja, Yarhkob), Katie Campbell (Catlips) and occasional member Tayo Snowball (The Weapon is Sound) to create a dynamic team. Blending deep sub bass, electronic beats and delicate vocal layering, Kučka creates their own brand of avant-pop.

What is this project?

Kučka are making a music video for their new song Rewind from their debut EP!

This will be a collaboration with film director and animator Julia Ngeow. Julia directs independent drama films and music videos, as well as branching into photography and illustration art. You can find some of Julia's work here:

The song Rewind was featured as Drum Media’s "Single of the Week" on it’s release.

How can I help?

If you like what you see/hear, this is your chance to support Perth musicians and filmmakers, and show Kučka your love. In return, you will be able to sleep soundly knowing that you've done your part to help produce a fantastic music video for some fantastic people.

This will not only rock your world when you get to watch it, but will also change the lives of Kučka & the video creative crew, as they get a platform to display their burgeoning talent.

Kučka has an incredible team of collaborators ready to help with this project, all giving their time & talent because they believe in what we are doing. All they need now, is You!

What happens to my money?

Over the past year Kučka have worked super hard, putting all their time, talent and pocket money into producing this first EP. They have brought together some of the best musicians and engineers to make this album sound amazing! We hope you like it!

Now, we're asking for your support. Your generous donation, whatever the size, will go towards top notch camera equipment, lighting, mad costumes, next-level makeup, video editing, props and maximum-impact cheese sandwiches to feed the crew during the video shoot. None of this will be possible without You!

Our aim is to raise at least $2,500. With the current production budget we're working with, this is minimum we require to make the video. Any funds over and above this would be spent on taking elements of production to a higher level - better camera and lighting hire, better props and visual effects, better set dressing, better hair & makeup. But, whether we're working from our minimum budget or a greater amount; our #1 priority is to produce something entirely out of this world!!!

Why Pozible?

We need funding to be able to start shooting our music video. Pozible gives us the opportunity to get funding without any risk to you. If we don’t reach our goal you won’t be charged! It's all, or nothing!

Kučka performed at The Moon, Northbridge, Perth. We held a little raffle to help along our Music Video fundraising. Congrats to Kučka supporter, Ange Smith, who won a framed print by Julia Ngeow, the Kučka EP, Luna Cinemas movie double pass, and a vintage VHS porno; and everyone who scored a sweet consolation prize. We raised $154 for the Music Vid!

Ok, sooooo...... we are getting pretty fRiGgIn' excited about making this Video! So we've gone out and got some of the props and costumes already!!!

Essential items %231 - LATEX, FULL HEAD ANIME MASKS (from German fetish site) to be worn by the dancers in the Video Clip! That's right! AMAZING! ~~~~They feel like soft meat~~~~!
