How this all came about.....
As a single mum (with no siblings or parents) I occasionally fear what would happen to my children if anything happened to me. To this end, I wrote my daughter a guide book to help steer her through her teenage years 'just in case.' Society is very different to how it was 100 years ago and my book is filled with all the wisdom's I wish my mother could have told me, but she just didn't know, because times have changed. It looks at issues of the heart vs. logical thought and how to make wise decisions when things seem most confusing. After numerous failed relationships and 10 years in domestic violence I have finally understood why and whats happened to me, and I want to make sure that my daughter, your daughter, everybody's daughters, don't make the same mistakes I did.
I want to stamp out domestic violence at its inception by empowering our daughters to say 'no' at the onset of the early warning signs, despite any hormone rush's that tells them otherwise.

I gave it to a few friends & family to look over & they loved it too & all want copies. So I have decided to self publish. My intention has always been to 'gift' the book to them and ask that if they love it and find it useful to 'pay it forward' by purchasing a copy to give to someone else with a daughter they love. I hope in this way, my knowledge is always given as a gift and I trust it will find its way into the hands of those who can most benefit from it.

My big plans....
I have very limited financial resources. The manuscript is currently being edited by a professional editor. A web site is being constructed, so anyone who reads the book can access purchasing a copy on-line, for them selves or someone else. I also have to purchase an ISBN number.
The money that I am asking for here will cover the printing costs of an initial print run of 200 copies. Should I be so fortunate in getting more than I ask for, I will increase the number being printed accordingly.
My book is titled "For Our Daughters" and is 13,500 words long. It will be approximately 80 x A5 pages in length.
