So it's been a long time coming - five years in fact - and Ben is proud to announce that he's ready to hit the studio to record his first full-length effort: it's album time.

You've been supporting all the way, and we love it!

Ben's Facebook 'likes' have continued to climb, you've been following along on Twitter, and have gotten to know him and his down-to-earth nature. You've watched the Youtube videos and downloaded sneak peaks from SoundCloud. However, despite how supported Ben feels, you've still continued to mention countless times how much more you'd like to be involved.

And now we're giving you that chance.

Putting together an album isn't a straight-forward process and involves much more than just getting the songs and music together and making them sound right. There's also photography, mastering, design, printing, promotion and distribution to consider; and then there's the launch.

These things all take time and (as you are surely aware) cost money.

As Ben has decided to self manage this process, rather than look to receive funding from a record label, we're turning to you, his fans, followers & friends, to help make this happen!

Ben will come with his guitar and ukulele and play a house show at your (or a friend's) house.* Ben promises an hour of sappy songs, ukulele shredding and bad jokes. You can even help Ben pick the set-list. Being based in Melbourne, it's obviously it's much easier for Ben to accomodate locally but if you're out of town and are willing to help him get to you at your expense, then it can certainly be negotiated. *gig date must fit in with Ben's schedule and will be pending his availability.

A YouTube video dedication. Ben and the team will film a video of any song of your choosing (one of Ben's or a cover) and will upload the video to YouTube and dedicate it to you or anyone you nominate. The video will be available on Ben's YouTube for a minimum of 12 months and will be shareable among your friends and family -- though for copyright and/or publicity reasons it may need to be uploaded as an 'unlisted' video. Pending logistics, the team hopes to upload the video by November 2012.

An afternoon in the studio and a chance to play a featured note on the album. - You must be available in Melbourne for an afternoon between June 25th - June 28th, 2012. - The note will be decided upon by producers Jono Steer and Leigh Fisher and may be as complex as a C# played on a piano string with a teaspoon. - The note will be featured in a song so you can show it off to your family and friends. - You will be a rock (slash folk/pop) God.

If anyone is actually crazy enough to pick this option, Ben will contact you directly to discuss what you would like the song to be about and then will do his best to write an appropriate song within an estimated time frame of 6 months or so (don't hold him to that). The song cannot be used for commercial purposes or financial gain and will remain the copyright of Ben Abraham. The song will also be filmed for YouTube and will be featured in the song-o-graphy site of his website and may be performed at gigs and if it's great, recorded and sold for millions of dollars that he will keep. (note the song is not intended to be on this album)
