About the Project

Exist explores our part of psychological mechanism that alerts us of treats and dangers—anxiety. It is the second instalment of DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales) trilogy, which is a common test to assess mental illness in modern society. The first short film is a drama about depression, Memory of You | Reflection of Me. And it won Best Video from COFA Annual 09.

Synopsis

After being in a trauma and hospitalised, Anne is ready to get back on her normal life but a mysterious person tries to assault her on the way home, she struggles to get through and discover that it is someone she thinks she knows the best who attacks her.

Schedule

• We will start the pre-production in October when the project has the tendency to be successful. That includes:
  • Casting other roles
  • Location scouting
  • Art direction
  • Organising crew and equipment
  • Rehearsal
• The shoot will be sometime in November
• The complex post-production work may begins in December:
  • Editing
  • Music compose
  • Sound design
  • DVD design and authoring
• The film is expected to finish before February 2011, distributed to the supporters and submitted to film festivals around the world.

As you can see the budget we are asking is nothing compare to the works to be done to make a good film

About ’Pong — Writer/Director

’Pong is a freak who enjoys discovering and sharing the beauty of life even in a strange place. He uses video, sound and photography as tools to explore textures of human’s connection to the world.

Born and brought up in Bangkok, the city with an intensely strange mix of materialism and spiritualism, ’Pong then worked in various roles in event management before relocating to a naughty city, Sydney, in 2001. He finished Master of Digital Media at College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales in 2009 and is pursuing his dream to be recognised media artist.

All the project supporters will get the spoiler in the end of the film. I will update the film production on the blog as I did in my previous film. Some of the posts will be exclusive for the supporters and the public updates will be on FundBreak website as well.
