We have created a blog to give you closer contact with the film and the people involved in the film, as well as getting you involved in the film’s actual process and outcome.
We will be posting daily with things that have inspired us to make this film. There will also be constant updates of the film’s process.
You are welcome to post text on this blog as well, with things that inspire you, with things that you think might help the film in anyway, and anything that is cinema related is very welcome.
You can ask us anything you would like to know about the film. It can be technical or anything you want to know about the story or just how we are doing.

What's the story?
Sol, an eleven-year-old boy finds himself in the middle of a broken home. With parents overshadowed by their own turmoil, Sol is neglected and left to fend for himself, seeking love and affection elsewhere. Venturing through the surrounding woodlands, Sol is challenged to think of his place in the world through a series of unforeseen events. After much searching and longing for the warmth he once knew, he plunges himself into the depths of the dark sea in a desperate attempt to return to his birth.

Sea of Tranquility is an exploration of birth and death and the similarities between the two. Something so familiar, yet so mysterious and disconcerting. 
As we delve deeper into the forest and deeper into Sol's consciousness, the intertwining between reality and human cognitive unreality becomes more apparent and the closer we get to his birth/death.

Our Goal.
Once the film is completed, the goal is to get into as many major film festivals around the world. And with your help this could be a possibility. 

This money will go towards the hire of a Steadicam operator, as well as accommodation, catering, petrol. As well as the hiring of gear.

It will be shot on black & white super 16mm. We will be shooting at Mt Macedon in Victoria in July and August this year. We plan on finishing the whole film by early to mid next year.

What's in it for me?
I wish I could give back all the money donated, but according to pozible.com rules it's illegal to offer a share in profits on this site. However, unofficially, if do you want your money back (eventually) let me know privately and I'll happily return the full amount if a profit is made on the film.

Raising enough funds to make a film can be tough for the independent filmmaker. Not everyone can get government funding or corporate funding. So you supporting this film is a way to stick it to the man. So help out the little guys and support this project. This is the beauty of these crowd funding sites, it makes films like this possible.

Everyone who supports this project will receive a personal thank you and a hug. Even if you only donate $1, we really appreciate it. Your contribution will go a long way. This will only fund a small part of the film's overall budget (we wouldn't dare ask for the whole amount), but it is still very important for the outcome of the film. Perhaps if you have no money to contribute you could share this page around to make more people aware of this project. 

I know what is like to not have any money. But if 100 people donated $2 that's $200. And if 100 people donated $5 that's $500. So $2 can still go a long way and I will still appreciate it. So it's ok if you have no money. I care more about you taking the time to donate rather than how much you donate.
