Hey guys and girls,

INTRODUCTION:

My name is Luke Launer I'm a 25 year old filmmaker currently residing in the small town of Dimboola situated in Western Victoria, Australia. My life has lead me on a journey into the heart of film and media. I have since then been apart of a 5 year adventure digging deep into the heart of storytelling and character development. I currently manage and operate a film production company known as "Shilling Entertainment" which has been going since early 2000, we base our work primarily on uniqueness and impact, we create very heavy duty based visuals for screen, with rich in colour schemes.

What are my goals for this project?
My goals are simple, I'm here to create one very epic and intense presentation which will conclude my lead-up to the franchise ready for distribution to get there hands on, I wish to wrap all this up in a nice bundle pack so distribution can see its full potential and take it from there, but I cant do this without your help and loving support. I am currently seeking a small amount of funding to help boost and kick-start this project off once again, the project is currently put on (hold) until i can do so with the funding. I am looking for around about $2000 to keep me going and get this production back on track. This will help me cater for things like: Props, Food for the Actors, Accommodation, Expenses and Makeup. All the basics which make up a film production.

What is "The Count" all about? The Count is about a Home Invasion which is captured on a hand-held video camera during a girls 25th Birthday Party (See Official Trailer below). What makes this film unique by nature is its unique two way style that being guerrilla style film-making meets Hollywood true professional standards. Having the ability to capture a complete Home Invasion in the art of 1st and 3rd perspectives at the same time is priceless in my eyes, plus it gives our general audience more variety. The Count has done exceptionally well where ever it has been shown, we have also been featured on Win News and had our very first Grand Premiere held at the Official Bendigo Cinemas in Central Victoria which was a complete sell out in just under 15minutes upon opening night.

What Inspired me? A couple of things really ..the first was a dream I had one night, it was about two men wearing black balaclavas storming our farm residence, I ran out the back of the house after hearing a loud noise in the kitchen area, I remember running out the back and hiding in the bushes only to see two men standing there in our kitchen area wearing black masks and arguing between one another. The second thing was a conversation I had with my younger brother Justin one day when we were young, it was about "What would be the most pain that anyone could go through?". We used to have the most random conversations about things and that's where my inspiration came from that plus several leading movies which include: "The Blair Witch Project, "The Strangers", "Paranormal Activity", "Funny Games".

What is "The Next Day" all about? The Next Day is a lead-up to my 2010 Feature Film entitled "The Count" This type of film installment has two stories in one (past and present). The story takes place just 6 months before the original (September 14th 2004). The film is based on the events which have just occurred, Jericho is caught by police and is currently awaiting trial due to a mass shootout which left over 30 dead and several injured. Jericho is interrogated for his crimes by two senior detectives Det. Dave Colliver (John McCullough) and Det. Jessica Miller (Kahli Williams). Things don't exactly go to plan as Jericho makes both there lives a living hell. Things soon take a huge turn and put both Detectives on edge as to how Jericho knows all about one fellow Detective named Steven Neeson (Played by Tasker Streete), this opens up the case even more. They call Steven in to take over and handle "The Jericho Murders Case". Its here where we follow the day in the life of struggling artist Derick Herjer (Jericho) Played by none other than the Director himself Luke Launer. One day after loosing absolutely everything Derrick snaps and goes off his head and commits a very serious crime known to the general public as "The Jericho Murders" a mass killing spree down the main street which leaves over 30 dead and several injured in its wake. Derrick is caught by police and currently remains in custody awaiting trial. Both Detectives wish to learn more about a spring of recent Home Invasions which have been conducted within the past couple of days, they believe Jericho knows more to what he is currently letting onto. As we venture deep into the heart of a madman's mind, you can expect nothing but shocks, twists and turns along the way. With one hell of an epic ride to the finish-line which will leave you speechless and answers answered. The film also stars the following: Daniel Reader, Dan Hill, Richard La Velle, Dean Kirkright, Erin Hegarty and more.

What makes "The Next Day" different and unique? Just due to the fact that we have pushed and maximized our efforts in capturing footage with several cameras this time round not just your standard two like the original. We have gone about capturing this new Home Invasion with several security based cameras planted right throughout the entire house similar to "Paranormal Activity 2-3". This gives us the ability to give our audience even more variety than before, the style is that of the same style they use in the TV Series "24". The film still stays true to its natural feel that being a fully improvised film shot from start to finish (what you see is what you get). Its basically similar to the original in every way shape and form but just pushed/amped up a lot more.

What are your reasons for using Crowd-funding? I have been self managed up to this point in my career, now I am asking for your help. I am currently struggling financially due to life in general. I am currently in the works on a brand new feature film known as "The Next Day" which is a Prequel set to my 2010 Feature "The Count". I have already began production on the project but due to financial difficulties are unable to finish production on this award winning franchise. The original Count was such a huge success I am looking at amping my game even higher than before, by amping I mean pushing this film to a whole new extreme level. More intense scenes, more powerful emotional driven dialog and much more. I have big plans for this final installment one in which will tie up the franchise in a nice bundle pack and ready to be shifted into the hands of distribution. In other hands I plan to hit them like a sledgehammer. Because I know this series potential and the importance it has in our film industry. If you too believe what I believe then I am looking for anyone at all to help me out with moving this production forward and continuing to make and build it stronger than ever before, all this can be done with your helping hand and loving support. Feel free to help out and donate as little or as much as you can. Donations are more than welcomed and will be looked up too. I will help where I can. If successful, funds will be going towards the basics of film production needs which include: Props, Food etc etc.

Thank you all so very much for all your loving and continued caring support, god bless you all.
