Sing It Out is a 45 minute science fiction musical, following in the footsteps of productions like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Little Shop of Horrors, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and Buffy's Once More With Feeling.
Sing It Out follows the story of Riley, a young demon hunter, as she learns about the world around her. As she's forced to hunt down Killian, a man she thought dead, Riley is exposed to a world completely different from all she has been taught. Her family has been lying to her, somebody wants her dead, and the enemies she's been killing for as long as she can remember are the only one's she can trust to save her.
The crew is comprised of young and up-coming talent. The director, Emma Wilson, and producer, Bronwen Write, wrote the original story together. From there Bronwen wrote the script, while Emma wrote the lyrics and music. Having worked on numerous productions together in the past, the most recent being the music video Out of Time for pop rock band Lets Not Pretend, they have shown how well they work together.
The cinematographer Mateusz Sliwinski not only shares a similar creative style to the director and producer, but has also proven his dedication to his work. Having traveled to India to complete a documentary, and assisted in filming for the band Simple Plan, he has already shown his skill, despite having only just begun.
The editor has been confirmed as Lieke Schaap, a filmmaker with promising talent and a keen eye for detail. Having experience with both music videos and various film genres, she will be able to take everything given to her and create a final product that will amaze.
Funds raised will go towards feeding our amazing cast and crew, as well as covering costs for props, costumes and locations. The producer has already raised $1,000 of her own money, but every dollar matters in a project like this. Props and costumes are already being sourced, as well as locations being scouted. With your help, we can ensure this production will be the best it can be.
