Hello Poziblians! We are Siskin River: An independently touring folk/blues/roots/percussive guitar yielding sister duo, and we've been on the road for 14 months straight, touring the Australian pub/house/garden circuit, and more recently -some extremely wonderful fancy-pants Festivals! We originally hail from Ramornie: the quiet forgotten countryside on the outskirts of Grafton NSW, but now live out the back of our station-wagon, who we've affectionately named "The Siskimobile". We travel, we write, we play… Now we want to record!
THE PROJECT
In 2011 we recorded an EP, but since then we've toured hard, worked hard, played hard, evolved, expanded, learnt a lot, survived severe bouts of cabin-fever and NOW we are ready to record our FIRST EVER ALBUM! The songs have been in the works for a long time. We're super proud of them, but massively protective (they're like our babies: if babies had really great things to say, and didn't poop a lot) so we want to do them justice in the recording studio. In order to do that, we need funds. Here's where you come in. As 100% independent artists, recording/mixing/mastering/printing is an expensive process, and while we've worked our butts off saving up money to record, we're not quite there and we need your help for the last little bit.
We are so incredibly grateful for any help you can offer us. Our music is our life, and this album is our dream. As thanks for your help, you have our utmost eternal gratitude, the pleasure of knowing you helped make this album a reality, and a whole bunch of fun/practical rewards (including pre-release copies of THE ALBUM! and Tullara's Amazing Used-Guitar-String Bracelets!
