Help Dark Matters get to Brisbane for Under the Radar.
Dark Matters is a Live Art exploration of our experience of darkness and dark spaces. It aims to question our preconceived ideas of darkness as a place of fear. This participatory work, invites the audience to an immersive experience of the social and the solitary, light and the dark. It invites the audience to party with others and experience a little piece of darkness just for themselves.
This piece was originally developed as part of Punctum’s Seedpod program in 2010. As part of Katie’s research for the piece, she camped alone without light at Melville Caves, Victoria in the middle of winter.

What is the money for?
Help us eat! In September, Katie and Bek will tour the show to Brisbane to be part of the Under the Radar Program as part of Brisbane Festival. We have a little bit of funding already but are a little bit short. The funds we raise through Pozible ble will be used to help cover some of these touring costs of including accommodation and airfares.
In 2012, Katie Sfetkidisis being mentored by Jude Anderson through JUMP, the Australia Council’s national mentoring program for young and emerging artists. In Victoria, JUMP is delivered by Melbourne Fringe. www.jumpmentoring.com.au
