Mable's Marionette is a Swinburne University Graduate short film that takes us into the frightening fantasy world of Miss Mable.

It tells the story of Rose, a student who has been appointed to work at Mrs. Mable’s house as part of her community service assignment. Over town, girls start to go missing and Rose suspects Miss Mable when she realizes the old woman’s collection of dolls have similar names to the missing girls. A room in the Miss Mable's house bears a secret that Rose is determined to uncover, but when Rose steps into the room, her world is turned up side down as she realises things are not as they seem.  

Mable's Marionette is a pyschological-thriller written and directed by Ryan Patuzo-Polson. Ryan has directed a handful of short horrors at his time at Swinburne with the intent to pursue the genre in the future. He has worked in various roles in the Australian film and TV industry, including on channels 1700, 31 and SBS.

We have gathered half of the funds that we need, however, we still need your help to raise enough funds to be able to complete this short film’s production. Funds raised through Pozible will go towards the Art Department to finance props, make-up costs, set dressing and costumes. As Mable's Marionette is a film heavily focused on rich-colours and evocative visuals, a high production quality is vital.
