THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING!!! And, if you want your kids to go after their dreams and live amazing lives, ZOMBIES ARE THE KEY!

The thing is, zombies are AWESOME. Like, SERIOUSLY AWESOME!  But not just in the way you might think. It’s not just because they’re gross and disgusting and a bit scary and they have their eyeballs hanging out of their head and their bones are showing through their gross, disgusting, pus-oozing,bits-falling-off-everywhere skin.

It’s also because zombies have all these traits, these bits of their character, that we can learn from. That we can use to make ourselves as AWESOME as we can possibly be.

So come on. Get ready. Psyche yourself up.

It’s time to embrace your inner zombie.

It’s time for … ZOMBIE INSPIRATION!!!

See, a lot of kids (and adults) these days are uninspired, doing what needs to be done and nothing more. They drift along, doing just enough to get through without causing too much fuss. How do I know? I was one of those kids (and adults!)! I was a total drifter, with no motivation, no goals, and I was so scared of failing or looking stupid I would never take any risks. I was totally under the radar. 

Kids (and adults!), need to see that they can be ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! They shouldn't drift along and live a life of okayness. Let’s stop being afraid of failure. Let's not be happy with drifting along and let's learn to motivate ourselves to awesomeness! 

And to do this, let's use the greatest role model of all ... ZOMBIES!

See, being a zombie doesn't have to be a bad thing. In fact, it could potentially save lives! And not just the drifters, but everyone else too!

To prove this, I have written a book and created a ten-step online course designed to give kids the confidence, resilience, and focus they need to do REALLY AMAZING things, and become truly inspired and inspirational adults.

ZOMBIE INSPIRATION: THE BOOK is a totally nearly almost true butt-kickin' stand-alone zombie romp of a chapter book (aimed at 8-13, but nothing too scary for younger if they're good readers) but one that also leads into the self-improvement side of the project.  Here's the cover and a couple of illustrations, done by the amazing James Hart:

The online course is the next step. It's designed to help as many people as possible become as awesome as they can possibly be. The course is called, wait for it, ZOMBIE INSPIRATION (Yep. It's got the same name as the book and website. What, you expected creativity???).

It's a video course, and there's a workbook to run alongside it filled with tips, activities and challenges based around the qualities zombies have, including:

·        Persistence

·        Setting Goals

·        Focus

·        Taking Action, etc

These exercises and challenges will kickstart a move out of the masses and towards a life of stand-out superstar awesomeness. At the bottom of this description are the first two pages of the workbook to give you an idea of what it will all be like.

Why am I doing this?

Like I said, I was one of the drifters. Not just at school, but at work too. Things finally clicked when I was around 35, when i decided to become a full-time children's author, but that was a lot of years of not doing what I dreamed of doing because I was too scared to take action, to even admit there was anything else I could do. 

Thinking about this, plus the fact I love self-improvement, and the fact I love writing, and the fact that pretty much everyone loves zombies, I decided to make the most awesome personal development package for kids and teens possible, and I would make it fun, relatable, and easy to connect with. How? Because, as you know now, it would use the most awesome monster of all … ZOMBIES!!!

And so here we are.

Kids love zombies and, in the end, the zombies are simply a gateway to make personal development fun, exciting and entertaining. And if we're going to change our lives, it can't just be work, it has to be fun, too!

If you want your kids to start down the path to total awesomeness, the zombie apocalypse isn’t something to be feared. The zombie apocalypse is something we can create, and we don't even need to eat any brains!

So embrace your inner zombie.

Hug it.

Kiss it.

Wipe your face clean.

Become awesome.

Challenges? I’m in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and you’re asking about challenges??? Okay, well fine, whatever. The challenges are many and varied, and include creating a project in a genre (self-help) that is not accepted in the world of children’s publishing; doing an online video course which I have NEVER done before; and making everything the most amazing and authentic quality it can be, while still keeping the raw and authentic feel I want.
