A high school teacher is taking leave by committing the ultimate act of ending his own life.
The city lights shine behind Jonathan as he climbs over the bridge rail. He is ready. What he does not intend is for one of his students to come along, interrupting his plan.
Taking Leave is one playwrights perspective on the life of the desperate man. The one act, two man play is a fragment in time, raw and carries with it a humorous edge.

This will be the world premiere of Taking Leave, a production created, developed and performed by a mix of University students and industry professionals. To make the show possible, we ask for any donations, great or small, to go toward costs such as:
-Registration in the festival
-Hire of a rehearsal space
-Hire of the performance venue
-Materials for set
-Costume/Props
Our budget is modest, our show is new, our company is small - but by donating to this new work, you will be helping us to achieve our endeavors. You are not only supporting us, but supporting the very future of Australian theatre. So thank you in advance for helping us stage the very first production of Taking Leave.
