This funding drive is here to enable Fantasy Artist Emerson Ward to bring his art to the public like never before, in the form of an art book! This book will be Emerson's first, containing 60 pages, full colour, featuring many new and classic art designs by Emerson. Including never before seen designs, sketches and artistic progressions.

Why do we want to create the book? 

This book will be Emerson's first solo art book project and a long awaited and welcome addition to his art and merchandise products on offer. For years he has been working hard creating many finished examples of Fantasy art and attending markets, exhibitions and popular conventions not only in South Australia but all around Australia. His art is getting better than ever and this book is a compilation of his favorite works from the last 8 years. The success of this project and the printing of his book will be a major step up in the larger world of professional art for this talented emerging Adelaide artist. Unfortunately printing prices that support our local economy are high and large print runs are the only viable solution, we need your support to help make this happen!

Nearly 6 of the $7,000 budget will be used to order a run of 500 books, the rest is for promotion and payment of helpers. If more funds are raised, more books will be printed. We are completing the funding drive on the 13th December to allow time for the books to be printed before Christmas. It may get tight preparing them all to be posted in time, but we will try our best! At the very least we can send cards out to those looking to give the book as a Christmas present.

Artist bio info

Emerson ward is a local freelance fantasy artist, portrait artist and illustrator / designer from Adelaide, South Australia. He creates a growing variety of themed art, limited edition prints and products in the growing fields of Fantasy and Science Fiction. As well as a new addition to the Port Community Arts Centre Board Member Team, he is a Fellow of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and a regular exhibitor in various exhibitions, markets and conventions in South Australia and interstate. Including events like The Gumeracha Medieval Fair, Craft Fairs, Body Mind and Phychic Expos, Pop culture conventions like Avcon, Supanova, Oz comic Con and Armageddon to name a few. Although Emerson's background is primarily computer graphics and design based, he highly enjoys creating art and participating in the arts community. Emerson's favoured method of artwork creation involves hand drawing detailed pencil drawings of a variety of fantasy, sci-fi and Mythical subjects, then colouring the pencil works digitally. You may have seen his work at specialty shops around Adelaide, on the Annual Gumeracha Medieval fair posters, Sleaze ball posters, local Hobby store graphics or on a multitude of design and commission projects.
