Maybe it was a vintage rusty car in the middle of nowhere ...a strange rock formation or cave.......maybe it was a group of dilapidated structures that caught your eye and got you thinking, wondering how it got there or who lived there before. 

These places let our imaginations run wild with thoughts of old times, a time and place that has slipped into the distance.  With your help we would like to create a  stunning photo book that digs deeper into the history and mystery of such places.  Our first book will take you on a journey inside several  ghost towns of Colorado.  Ghost towns are a significant and indelible shadow of the past, a part of our culture that needs to be preserved forever for future generations.  With your help we can begin to preserve this rich history before it ceases to exist.

What we're doing:

My teenage daughter and I will be traveling to Colorado at the end of June to photograph and study the history of several ghost towns. Our goal is to create a photo book that will also include historical information. The book will be available to the general public thru various media outlets. This book will be the first, in a series of books that will take a deeper look, thru photography and research inside some of the hidden gems and less known places of interest.  As I strive to reach my goals of book writing and my daughters love of photography we have decided to collaborate to create something that we hope will make a difference.

What the money is for:

Most of the funding that we receive will go towards getting the book published, which can be very expensive.  We already have access to worldwide distribution with online retailers like Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Borders and etc.  Other funding will help with travel expenses, equipment, fees and rewards. We put the bare minimum down for our project as we really want to see this project succeed but any funding in excess will be greatly appreciated, it will help to secure major retailers to carry books in store, as well as help with printing of more books to be used for book signings, gallery and other events.  Please help us to exceed our goal and create something beautiful

We will also be creating a website and will be setting up a blog spot to share our journey with you.
