Our project is very simple.
We are two gay dads raising our foster son in Australia, last year we started blogging about the experience in order to raise further awareness for foster care. We will be turning this in to a published book. This is a completely not for profit exercise.

We are commencing two stages of this project.
No 1 - "Two Dads and Me - The Story so Far" - A compilation of extended writings from our blog, coupled with extra content.
No 2 - "Two Dads and Me - Our Story" - A Completed Book.



This project will go towards funding stage one of our work, "Two Dads and Me - The Story So Far", this will be a 50 page, colour printed book featuring extended writings of our existing blog and further extra text and images as yet unpublished.

I am an experienced teacher and work heavily in community creative projects including radio & television, I also write small amounts of freelance writing. My writing has previously been published by Australian news media and has been distributed and reproduced via other websites world wide.

The $2000 raised will cover the printing costs for 200 copies of this book, plain and simple.
We will then use the funds raised from these sales to fund Stage Two, our completed book.

We will continue to reinvest funds raised from the sale of the books into printing and distributing more copies. We are aiming to have copies in as many public and school libraries as possible to better raise awareness for same sex families and children in care.
