Australian contemporary music trio Trichotomy are set to produce and release their 3rd album.

They're a little bit modern jazz...

but it's quite accessible..

melody driven.. intensely dynamic & rhythmic.

OK, so, you've got the back story, you know what we've been up to...

Now then... the new album!

For us this album is a huge step forward and represents a particularly creative time in the band's life. Since our last release "The Gentle War" in 2010, we've written and played so much music around the world... this new album is a wonderful representation of the group at its most creative.

So... We spent a good part of the first half of this year work-shopping new material at gigs and getting a a heap of songs ready for the recording session. Then, after sitting down with a bunch of new tracks that we were happy with, we hit the studio in Sydney during July this year.

So... we recorded 18 tracks in 4 days.

We recorded live to tape.

It was REALLY FUN....

They were big days...yep... we worked hard. There was a steady stream of coffee I assure you.

We also had some fantastic guest artists in to play on selected tracks.

LINSEY POLLAK (custom made wind instruments) and TUNJI BEIER (South Indian percussion) joined us for a few and the amazing JAMES MULLER played guitar on 2 tracks.

We wrote material specifically for these guests and the resulting combination is quite exciting. It really takes our music to completely new places.

At the end of the recording session we ending up with 120 minutes of music that we are quite proud of.. We really think it's some of the most thoughtful, interesting and engaging music we've ever created.

Right about now you're probably thinking... Well... I'd like to hear some of this stuff before we go any further. Right you are.

That brings us up to September 2012... and this is where YOU come in.

We've created this Pozible project so that we can offer some really special rewards to our fans and so that YOU can help us finish this album and release it in Australia & the UK.

We NEED YOUR HELP to CREATE THE MOST COMPELLING ALBUM WE'VE EVER RELEASED.

For this album we're trying things we haven't tried before - multiple guest artists, a vinyl release and heavy publicity in Australia and the UK. We want to have the music out there as much as possible - and to do that we need YOUR support.

We're aiming to raise $5000.

These funds will be used to assist with the costs of: Mixing, Mastering, Art Design and Pressing (CD&Vinyl)

Finally, TIME FRAMES

We're running this project up until NOVEMBER 7th... That's not long!

After this we'll be into the mixing, mastering and art design process. Then the album will be off to press - we anticipate that the album will be ready before the end of the year.

All the incentives have their time frame indicated so please check them out. Some of them have a limited number, so get in quick!

After that..

The album will be released in FEBRUARY 2013. It'll be out in the UK/Europe/USA with NAIM and in Australia/Asia on JAZZHEAD. All those who order an album through this campaign will receive the album in January! Very nice indeed.

There will be a UK Tour in FEBRUARY 2013

There will be an Australian tour in MARCH-APRIL 2013.
