When I first held a chicken it changed my life...

I immediately formed a connection with Poley. The love was unconditional and endless. It was then that and I knew I had to share this with others to help them 'feel loved, be loved & valued.' 

Our whole family has an Autism diagnosis.

We treat it like our super power and chickens are our side kicks. Still it can make social situations challenging. Chickens to Love has help my whole family come together and improve our bond. We've helped so many other people in our community as well. 

Our Chickens to Love program was developed by my mum & I working alongside mental health professionals and a psychologist.

Our goal is to help build social skills, help people feel valued and assist with lifestyle skills for people with learning and physical challenges. But our program is for the whole community and we also do work with schools and many more, because we believe everyone should 'feel loved, be loved & valued.'

We already deliver this program at CLS (Community Lifestyle Support) in Bundaberg and provide this program to dozens of other organisations and individuals. 

I've featured on ABC Me, Australian Story, the I CAN Network and a host of other channels to spread the Chicken Love.

The next step for us is to grow, and what better way than with a chicken caravan.

We have 2 chicken coupes already but they aren't mobile and the space is a little tight, which is very limiting when you are working with people who have physical disabilities, or if we need to travel to clients. 

Our chicken caravan will have everything we need to run our program in any location. It will have a specially designed housing system, electric fence to keep the chickens in and everything else we need to make our program more accessible for those in need. 

I really love the support everyone has given us so far and I really hope to help as many people as possible. Help us change the world and spread the chicken love :)

$8000 will go towards our chicken caravan with the remaining $2000 going towards the crowdfunding expenses such as art supplies, printing materials, postage and pozible fees.

Our chicken caravan will be a huge help in our program but it's really the first step to reaching everyone in need. On top of that it's going to allow us the opportunity to find funding from so many more sources. We want our program to be self sustaining!! We will have local businesses sponsor stickers on our caravan, host chicken events and a host of other things which allows us to raise money to fund our program. 

We're a resourceful bunch and my mum always finds a way to keep our program alive.

Our caravan is being custom built by Daniel from Chicken Caravan and it will come with everything we need, we just need to raise the build costs and fill it with chickens :)

The biggest challenge for us comes after the caravan. Our program is cutting edge and we have people reaching out every day all over the world asking for ways we can help them. 

Really this is the first step to making our program international and we want to find ways of partnering with others to help everyone feel loved, be loved and valued!!
