Hi there! I’m Nat Bartsch, a jazz pianist and composer from Melbourne, and my trio is looking forward to releasing our 3^rd CD, 'To Sail, To Sing' in 2013. We're heading into the studio in just a few weeks’ time, and we’re very excited!

It’s been a bit of a rough road for me over the past few years, and so it’s taken me just a little longer than I would have liked to create a new album’s worth of compositions. But hopefully you will find it's been worth the wait!!

Our new album will feature the new rhythm section of double bassist, Tom Lee and drummer Danny Farrugia. Danny has just joined us for this project very recently following the unexpected departure of long time drummer Leigh Fisher. Two tracks on this album will also see the very exciting inclusion of special guest vocalist Gian Slater, and tenor saxophonist Kieran Hensey. We will record some of my new compositions, and an arrangement of an amazing Gotye song, 'Save Me'.

We need your help

This time around we are recording our album independently, and in doing so I must raise the capital to be able to cover the costs involved. I am seeking some financial support from our fans, friends, family and other lovely people to help make the creation of this album pozible!

Our target amount is $4000, which will cover mixing, mastering, artwork, duplication and online distribution of the album.

How you can help

If you are interested in supporting this project, you can pledge to purchase a reward package. There are a variety of packages, just look over the right of this page and scroll down.

It could simply be a pledge to pre-purchase a digital download or a signed copy of the album. Or, if you are interested in pledging a higher amount of money, there are many other rewards available: your name in the credits of the album, printed sheet music, bonus recordings, and private house concerts!!

If our campaign succeeds

If we receive enough pledges to meet our $4000 target, the amount you have pledged will be charged from your credit or debit card on the day that our Pozible campaign ends (60 days from its start date).

If we manage to raise over our target, your pledge will also be deducted. The additional funds we receive will still be immensely valuable, helping me to pay for the initial recording costs (such as our engineer, and the wonderfully talented musicians that will be playing on the album.)

In return for your support, you will receive your rewards package! We plan to release the album in April and I will send out your selected package as soon as the CDs are delivered to my doorstep!

(*If you select a house concert package, the concert would occur in the 2^nd half of 2013, on a date that suits you and us. Personalised solo piano recordings will also be delivered in this period to allow for recording time.)

If our campaign doesn't succeed

If we do not receive enough pledges to meet our target, the important thing is that you will not be charged for the amount you initially pledged. This is an ‘all or nothing’ model – whereby you will only be contributing to a project that is certain to go ahead.
