About The Cabal Cut:
For years, rumours have been rife about substantial missing footage to Clive Barker's NIGHTBREED.
"Occupy Midian" is a movement to see the full version of this film restored and re-released in its full and unedited glory, which not only is a more faithful adaptation of his book CABAL, but is what Clive Barker originally intended NIGHTBREED to be. This version, running now at 144 minutes, is THE CABAL CUT. The Cabal Cut was directed by Russell Cherrington, who will be attending the screening. Edited by Jimmi Johnson and Produced by Mark Miller (Seraphim)
Bringing Midian to Oz Horror Con:
Steve Dillon's Oz Horror Con (www.OzHorrorCon.com) is responsible for organising Australia's biggest (and best!) horror-themed fan conventions, and we are committed bringing the horror to Australia!! As a result of our passion and dedication to all things horror, we have negotiated with Russel Cherrington, the Director of 'The Cabal Cut' to bring the Director and the Cabal Cut to Melbourne, Australia!
Details, Dates, location:
The Date is the 9th August. The screening is at 7pm, and the Meet and Greet at 5pm. The location is The Backlot Studios, 65 Haig Street, Southbank in Melbourne.
Nightbreed:
"Neither Heaven, nor Hell, nor Earth was possible. it could only be Midian then - that awful legendary place which gathered to itself in its monstrous embrace the half-dead, the Nightbreed..."
- We will add your name (or the name of someone else) to the Oz Horror Con Midian 'Book of the Tribes' - This will make a great artefact to record our early supporters of Oz Midian - A Copy will be presented to Russell Cherrington as a keep-sake for his time in Oz Midian! - Another copy will be sent via Russell to Clive Barker, to wish him well and to show how much the fans in Oz Midian care about The Cabal Cut!
