Save Espionage

We have helped to kick-start and build the careers of countless emerging artists, giving them the confidence to pursue their passion and build a career in the arts by placing them in exhibitions alongside other local, interstate, and internationally established artists. We have also aided charity organisations such as the Japanese Red Cross in response to the Fukushima disaster, the Compassion organisation aiding women and children in third world countries, and youth at risk through Red Cross Australia.
This was all made possible through the NIES scheme, which covered all the costs of Espionage's first year of operation. Although we have sustained a steady clientele and have a reputation for quality artwork, rising costs such as studio rent and the new South Australian Liquor Licensing laws means that our current position is unsustainable.
It is only due to gallery hire, low commission fees, bar sales, and a lot of personal investment that the gallery has stayed open until this point. We love our jobs and hope to continue assisting local artists on an international scale, and adding to Adelaide's art scene.

During this campaign we are looking at raising $7000 to cover ongoing costs associated with running Espionage Gallery, as well a creating a debut market space that will be the first Adelaide outlet for blind box vinyl toys (such as the infamous Munny and Dudebox brands), as well as local art and fashion from local and interstate artists.
With your help we can resuscitate Espionage Gallery and continue to foster emerging and established young visual artists to reach out for bigger and brighter things.

Thank you!
Joshua Smith.
SAVE ESPIONAGE - EXHIBITION

Espionage volunteers will be available to help you with purchasing artwork, making donations via Pozible and also selling tickets to a mini raffle drawn that night.
For those of you that cannot make it to the exhibition opening night, the catalogue of artworks to chose from will be posted the next day in the update section of this campaign.
Coming to opening night secures your pick of the artworks you'd wish to receive as your donation prize, and also a chance to pay in cash and secure your purchase whether the campaign reaches its goal or not. We will be having a closing night celebration too, so stay tuned to see how you can help us seal the deal!
As many of you may know, Espionage does not get a single dime unless the Pozible goal is reached, so please, come along and donate! :)

How The Funds Will Be Used
Upgrades - Espionage needs some upgrades to the space: we're hoping to start a small store area selling art books, local zines, local art and craft works (not relating to exhibitions), and art materials such as blank vinyl toys.

Events - Espionage has been running as a gallery space for a while now, but has also hosted events such as live art competitions, fundraisers, and stencil workshops. We'd like to have the money to run more of these events, more often. Such events include specialist workshops run by guest artists, night markets and also short film festivals/premiers.
Exhibitions - Espionage has some big plans for the next 6 months! Some exhibitions that we hope to put on include a Batman exhibition, a Star Wars exhibition, and a Retro gaming themed exhibition in December this year, teaming up with RETROSPEKT to have games and consoles set up during the event.
