Love is the great wonder of this life. It has the power to change us for the better, to bring us to our knees, to give us purpose and open our eyes. As adults at times love is complicated, we are so busy and life is hard. At times we forget to treasure the experience and how blessed we are to have had it, even if just for a moment.

This story takes us on a journey of innocent love. Reminding us that once upon a time, in a world that may seem far away, someone showed us love and it enriched our life and perhaps changed us forever.



SYNOPSIS - Charlie is shy and imaginative, immersed in his life of make believe adventures in his backyard. One day on a search for pirate treasure, Charlie courageously ventures through the hedge and into the yard next door. What he finds is an unexpected treasure when he meets bright and bubbly Ava. Though timid at first meeting, it is not long before Ava’s effervescence lights a certain spark in Charlie and the two become fast friends and something more wonderful. Charlie loves Ava and Ava loves Charlie. Their love story unfolds effortlessly until something unpredictable happens. Just as suddenly as Charlie and Ava had found their treasure, Ava was gone.
Now no longer content to be in his own little world without Ava, Charlie does all he can to hold on to hope.



STYLE - In this romantically reminiscent portrayal of childhood, we want to recreate the feeling all to often lost in adulthood. That magical time where everything held more beauty and wonder, seeming almost perfect in it’s discovery. Vivid color fills every corner of this world. With handmade sets, props and costumes every detail is quaint and picturesque. From Charlie’s charming cubby house to Ava’s candy striped swing set, Treasure is a cute and quirky feast for the eyes.

The production design involved for this film is extensive. There are cubby house sets to be built, a sailboat sand pit, and costumes to be made from scratch, not to mention the construction of a 12meter hedge fence. Most of our Production Budget will go to make the film look beautiful.

Of course there’s the matter of feeding our Cast and Crew. These totally amazing people that make up our Cast and Crew will be donating their time to see this story come to life, it’s only fair we feed them well.
It all adds up very quickly. $2000 is the bare minimum we need to make this happen. Every lit bit helps.

Filming with children has it’s restrictions, the main one being time. So it is essential we have functional sets and equipment to ensure the pace of the shoot is efficient. This means the greater the budget the more we can allocate to these items and the happier we can keep our darling actors.
