"Level 17" Web-series
Level 17 is an ambitious new web series that follows the story of Ethan; a college student who struggles to understand his destiny when time begins folding in on itself. With the conspiring IOB Corp putting Adelaide under martial law, Ethan forms a resistance to fight back and uncover the mystery behind the city’s lockdown. The only way to save his girlfriend, is to save the world.
There is plenty of action, special effects and an entangling storyline that takes place in a not too distant future Adelaide. Creator/Director John DeCaux and our company, Six Foot Four Productions have put in countless hours to produce the beginning of a series that is compelling and of the highest possible quality.
Our intention is to continue Level 17 as a series while also creating a new, higher benchmark for entertainment quality on Youtube.
What We’re About
In order to shoot the first two episodes a group of dedicated volunteers, ranging from amateur to professional, donated their time and efforts into what we believe will be an amazing feat for online entertainment. Regardless of their previous experience, they all contributed massively to the successful release of episode one. We want to reward our cast and crew whilst allowing them to continue honing their skills.
However, without any monetary assistance, it would be impossible to maintain the talent and quality we need to provide you with the best web series we can produce.
John DeCaux – Creator/Director
From a young age John deCaux showed a passion and interest in film and television, holding home-made ‘movie premiers’ with family and friends while growing up in a North Eastern country region of the Riverland in South Australia. John became actively involved in both technical and acting sides of High School drama productions. Following these productions, John began creating a range of short films, documentaries and making his first feature length film, ‘Almost There’ which received a best feature film nomination at the South Australian Screen Awards in 2010 and 2013. This developed the creation of John’s own company, Six Foot Four Productions. In 2010 John moved to Adelaide to further his film passion and is currently working at Channel 10, providing a great opportunity for the development of his editing and filming abilities and an excellent source for future jobs in the film industry. John is the writer and director of the web series ‘Level 17.’
Adam Carter – Producer
Adam M. Carter graduated from The Adelaide Centre of the Arts with exemplary grades in Screen Production earning him the “Outstanding Academic Achievement in Screen Production” Award that led to teaching jobs in Universities and Schools. He developed successful training programs and equipment management facilities that are implemented in schools in South Australia. His first short film ‘Narcissus’ won “Best Short Film Narrative” at the South Australian Screen Awards and he worked on other shorts that were nominated or part of initiatives through the Media Resource Centre such as ‘Drip’, ‘Procreation for A Better Australia’ and ‘Portmanteau’. Adam produced the best feature nominated film ‘Heroes Crossing’ (2011) and won the “Bigpond Adelaide Film Festival People’s Choice Award” for ‘I Am Orpheus’(2012). Having worked with John deCaux before on ‘Almost There’, Adam produces the web series “Level 17” which is his first internet project.
