Monster Fest is a big screen celebration of independent genre cinema and is totally dedicated to bringing the latest, greatest and rarest cult and horror cinema from around the world to Australian screens – it's a film festival for genre freaks run by genre freaks!

Monster Fest is now in its 3rd Year and continues to grow because of the support of Australia's hardcore community of cult cinema freaks - Yes we're looking at you!

Monster Fest is very much about international cinema but we are most proud of our role in launching new Australian genre cinema. At the Melbourne leg of the festival in November 2013 we hosted the WORLD PREMIERE'S of EIGHT Australian independent genre feature films, most of which had sell-out screenings - in Perth we're presenting the WORLD PREMIERE'S of THREE new Aussie films, including two from Perth - we are pretty sure that no other film festival in Australia can make such a claim.


Starting on Thursday 27th of March and ending on Wednesday April 2nd, Monster Fest Perth is seven nights of World Premiere's. Aussie Premiere's and Perth Premiere's, it's also special guests, Q&A's, bands, workshops, parties, zombie marching, mayhem, madness and more!

MONSTER FEST PERTH... FEED YOUR BEAST!

Monster is still a small company, employing only 3 full time staff and each year we intend to go even bigger, more guests, more films, more everything and to run them all around the country in as many cities that will have us.

At this stage, to pull it off, we need some money up front which is why we are asking the Monster community to become a 'Friend of Monster Fest Perth'.

The money will be used to cover travel and accommodation expenses for the guests of the Fest, the film-makers who worked so passionately on their projects on the smell of an oily rag and who now want to proudly share with you in person the result of all their hard work.

Specifically we need to cover the travel and accommodation costs for likes of Andrew Leovold - The Search for Weng Weng, Stu Simpson - Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla and Dick Dale - Trasharama.

We know that Monster Fest means a lot to a lot of people so we're asking you to back us and in return we want you to enjoy the benefits of being part of the Monster family!

Basically, festivals are an expensive venture we put on because we love horror and we know there are lots of horror fans who also want to see their favorite genre given legitimate festival treatment.

The sticky monetary truth is that the risks any time we put on Monster Fest is that we won't cover costs and that we as a company loose money. Monster Fest is not about making a profit for us, but we can't escape that putting on a quality festival of this size does come with some costs, guests travel, accommodation, printing, artwork, films classification, film rights, etc. We want to use crowd sourcing as a way to help us off-set costs and continue to grow Monster Fest into Australia's largest and nastiest genre film festival.

And why you ask are they not all exactly $25 as stated in the video? Well, simply because Pozible only allows for one reward for each price level. So we had to split up the shirts by design and offer them for prices between $23 and $26!
