$400 will pay for our new lighting system 

$1,350 venue hire for Scarborough 

$350 printing of publicity materials for Scarborough

$400 for costumes, sets, props for Scarborough

$1,640 rights for Scarborough

And then there's all the above again for the much larger scale - The Mistakes Madeline Made - our next production in August, and then again for new Australian work My Place or Yours later in the year. Plus audio, camera, and lights hire for our webseries Catey & Laura, There's also APRA fees, rehearsal space hire, liquor licenses, insurance...and this is all before we pay anybody.

Hello, we’re The Honeytrap, there’s five of us - Joanne, Debbie, Loren, Kasey and Celeste - and if you know one of us, then you’ve probably met all of us. We’ve been training, writing, directing, devising and acting alongside one another since, well, pretty much forever (2006). Last year we decided to begin our own production company: The Honeytrap. We’ve had a successful first production, Savage in Limbo, and filmed a webseries, Catey & Laura, and we have a stellar 2013 season programmed (all will be revealed at our launch on March 10^th!*). So far this has been a completely self-funded enterprise – yep, 13 casual jobs between us – and now we’re asking for a little help to kickstart the next stage of our development as a company.

Your money will go towards employing our very own publicist for the weeks leading up to our first show of the season. Having a publicist will help us create the material, practices and relationships that will get our work the attention and recognition it deserves. Attention = recognition = tickets sold = money = we have money to keep doing cool things = more tickets sold, etc. = we never have to ask you for money again. Help us to never have to ask you for money again. Well you know, hopefully almost never ever again.
