I Quit Sugar Kids Cookbook
In February 2014, we launched a digital cookbook: I Quit Sugar Kids eCookbook . We were blown away by its popularity. It seemed mums and dads everywhere had been waiting for a cookbook that gives healthy, easy options for persuading kids to eat more nutritious food.
But the overwhelming feedback from them was: "Please can we have the book in hard copy?!".
So, our mission? Simple: To raise enough funds to publish the Kids Cookbook in print. We want to help more parents create more nutritious, simple-to-cook meals for more kids.

I Quit Sugar believes that quitting sugar is really about cutting out the crap and going back to how our great-grandparents ate. Every day we hear from exhausted parents who are desperate to get their kids' nutrition in check. The Kids Cookbook is loaded with sugar free, densely-nutritious breakfast ideas, party foods, lunchbox goodies and clever ways to get kids cooking and learning. And yes – we do include treats.
Here's just a few of our favourite recipes from the cookbook:

Sugar-free Bounty Bars Nutty Teeth Gingerbread Smoothie

Oh, and don’t forget to alert those parents you know who might not have been able to download the digital cookbook. This is perfect for them as well!

Sarah has also written two print books, published by Pan Macmillan: I Quit Sugar and I Quit Sugar for Life.
This will be our first self-published book. Eeek! The success of the Kids Cookbook will give us the confidence we need to produce more of our digital cookbooks in print format. We'd love to see more of our books on people's shelves, and YOU can help us achieve this!
Meet the team

Sarah Wilson (founder of I Quit Sugar and IQuitSugar.com):
In January 2011 I quit sugar. It started as an experiment, but my energy, skin and wellness changed so dramatically, I kept going. I stopped eating sugar – in all its forms – because I’d been told by specialists and nutritionists for years that I should. I have an autoimmune disease (Hashimotos, a disease that attacks the thyroid and mostly affects women over 30) and sugar flares my condition terribly. Some even argue sugar causes the disease in the first place. Anyone with a compromised system simply cannot afford to have their stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol), their neurotransmitter levels (dopamine), or their insulin levels tipped off balance by sugar. It’s a hard, cold, but oddly motivating fact!
So was the fact I was short of a topic one week for the column I wrote in a Sunday newspaper magazine at the time. I committed to a fortnight off sugar, to see how it went. As I say, the effects were immediate and I shared my story with my readers in the magazine and on my blog. This whole I Quit Sugar journey then dominoed from there.

Stephanie Hinton (book developer):
I spend my days developing recipes, researching and writing the books and working through new and exciting sugar-free concepts for the I Quit Sugar community.

Jo Foster (executive assistant to Sarah Wilson):
I work as Sarah's right hand chick but I help out across the team! I helped Steph in mapping out the concepts, timelines, organising photo shoots and overseeing design.

Martyna Angell (food stylist and photographer):
I work closely with Steph to help bring her vision to life. I love coming up with clever, creative ways to encourage kids to try dishes through imaginative styling and photography!

Lisa Valuyskaya (book designer):
I work in Italy. The time difference can mean some early starts/late nights for the team, but I basically take the recipes and images and try to present them in a fun, light-hearted way.
