This Pozible campaign is aimed to solve a constant challenge for families. I live with my family in Melbourne. Our kids are aged 15 to 5, so I have been in the school system now for over 10 years.  A quick estimation has me having made over 1200 lunches to date and this continues to grow rapidly as I have all five kids at school now.



I feel passionately about making sure the kids have nutritious and tasty lunches, but I want to be able to achieve this as efficiently and as economically as possible. This means the focus of the food that goes into the kids lunch boxes is on whole foods and home cooked foods. I make a savoury and sweet treat item each week, use seasonal fruit and veggies and simple crackers to ensure a balance of items in the lunch box.



Over the years I have become much better at doing this. I have created a process I follow, which allows me to work on autopilot. So this means when things are busy, I can just set about pulling the lunch boxes together without having to think too much about it; useful when there is so much going on in family life!



Through discussion in real life with families and through feedback and discussions with readers of my blog planningwithkids.com I know that making nutritious and tasty lunch boxes for kids is something many parents finds challenging.

The family planner lunch box calendar will address this challenge and make the lunch box task easier. It will contain:
- A guide on how to create a simple lunch box process to take the hassle out of making the kids’ lunches each day.
- A photo of a gluten and nut free item to make for the lunch boxes each month.
- A recipe of a gluten and nut free item to make for the lunch boxes each month. Many of these recipes will not be published on the blog, so will only be found on the calendar.
- An example of what to pack in the lunch box each month.
- A list of common seasonal fruit and veg for each month.
- A planner section to have a column each for the kids to keep track of their activities and appointments.

If I am successful with my campaign, the funds will  be used to have the calendar professionally designed and then cover a print run of 1000 copies. The budget breakdown for the project is as follows:
Design - $5,750
Print run of 1000  - $6375
Fees - $1500 
Total cost  - $13,625

I am half way through developing the new recipes for the calendar and I have created a weekly plan to ensure they will all be made and photographed in time.

If the campaign is successful, the turn around time from designer to printer will be very quick. I have created all the other necessary text and have that ready to go straight to the designer at the end of the campaign if I reach my target.
