Event Tips

- Buses will depart from North Tce, near Convention Centre. Arrive in this location to board your bus by no later than 8.45pm. We will not be able to wait for late comers.

- No torch, no play. Bring a torch (bike light, head lamp, flash light) to gain entry onto the bus.

- No eftpos facilities will be available, so bring cash for $5 beers, wine, cider, $4 mischief brew cold brew coffee and $10+ burgers from Veggie Velo

- Dress warm for cold forest weather (9 degrees celsius), there will be places to hang your coat.

- Wear flat shoes for walking/dancing, heels will bring certain tripping incidents and embarrassment will surely ensue.

The Make Ready Lab in association with Forestry SA are proud to present Bus to Big Trees.

On November 8, wheels will go 'round and 'round as a limited number of buses leave the smoke of Adelaide for greener pastures of Kuitpo Forest, buried deep within the hills.

If you decide to park your keister on our chariots of the dark, you will experience a night of music, arts, light and things that go bump in the night.

Featuring live music by Naomi Keyte, Swimming, Kira Puru, Sparkspitter and Ocky with lights by Chris Petridis.

Bus to Big Trees is directed by the makers of Moving Music, an urban safari of a city. Those who know our projects, know we don't do things in any way that is generally normal. 

If you are a purveyor of the dark, a celebrant of nature, a general creature of the night, then this kind of project is likely for you.

We will only sell tickets via Pozible to you and this project will only go ahead if you make it so by snapping up a bus seat for your keister or voting with your wallet otherwise.

Bus to Big Trees operates under a limited licence for the service of alcohol. The limited licence number for this event is Licence No: 150865

The funds will be used for every expense of the event which includes

- Artist Fees and relative costs
- Infrastructure costs 
- Marketing costs
- Production costs

Simple. 

Challenges are always a plenty for this kind of project. We are working in a forest, not your normal kind of venue by any means. 

We have a strong duty of care for our audiences and think over every element of a project and make sure everything we do is in no shape or form a detriment to our supporters on site at an event. 

We carry out the following for all of our events

- Risk Assessments 
- Purchase of Public Liability Insurance
- Appropriate briefing to all crew on site 
- Crowd control
- First Aid trained staff on site
