We're guessing you have some questions for us, like...
Who are you?
We are 23 very talented students of the Photography Studies College (PSC) majoring in Fine Art Photography. The class is made up of young full time students eager to begin their careers, and mature-age part time students who have seen the light and are changing career directions. Together we are Fresh14!
Our class is highly individual and produces an eclectic and exciting mix of photographic and mixed media styles, ranging from conceptual photography, portraiture, illustrative photography, video, collage, and graphic and minimalist images. The one thing we all have in common is the depth of meaning embedded in our work, the result of several years of learning and practice.

Why are you on Pozible?
We are quickly nearing the end of our education at PSC and we are creating a group exhibition to showcase the images from the major folios we have been toiling over for the past year. It is an event to mark our last days at PSC, and our entry into the big bad art world. It will be held at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery in Abbotsford, will open on November 21 and run for two weeks. There will be beautiful images, thought-provoking concepts, new perspectives on common objects, and there will be wine. Oh yes. There will be wine.
But first there is much to be done. The students will be responsible for organising every aspect of this exhibition, and with great responsibility comes a great need for funds to make this show possible. $2800 to be exact.

Surely you don’t need that much money just to put some pictures on the wall?
That’s what we thought. As it turns out, there’s a multitude of tasks each with a price tag, and it all adds up!
Did you know that to put on an exhibition, you need to source and pay for a gallery space for two weeks, install and paint extra walls, hang the work professionally (blue tack won’t cut it), hire and install lighting so you can actually see the work, pay for advertising and promotion in various publications, create an invitation and catalogue and print and distribute them, create and install signage for the gallery, and hire bar staff (for the wine, you know…) and arrange catering for the opening night? Sheesh!
So much to do! So much to pay for! This campaign doesn’t even cover the cost of printing and framing the work, which will come out of our own pockets.

What happens if you don’t reach your target?
What, you mean after the anguished screams and tears subside? Well, we get NOTHING. Not a dollar. Anything you pledge now will not be deducted from your credit card until the target is reached, and if we don’t…. well…. we basically don’t have an exhibition. And did we mention that this exhibition is where our formal assessment by renowned industry specialists will take place? Yeah… it’s kind of important that we make this happen.

Is there any boring stuff I need to read?
Yeah, just this bit. You need to know that all our lovely supporters will be contacted following our exhibition’s grand opening night on November 21 with all the images from the exhibition that are available as rewards. You pick, we send!
All prints will be printed professionally on archival paper and wrapped and protected for free delivery within Australia. Pick up is also available. The prints will be unframed (we don’t know your taste in frames! We’ll leave it up to you!) .

Pozible $50 Reward Images - Artist's Favourites.
These images have been created over the course of the student's time at PSC and are available only to those who choose the $50+ Reward option as an A4 Print (any square images will be 20x20 cm). Any donations greater than $75 will be able to select a print from the Exhibition itself!

How The Funds Will Be Used
100% of all funds will go towards funding the exhibition, and the rewards on offer.
The Challenges
We don't foresee any major challenges with this project. We are capable and determined people! This will be a success!
