Australia’s radical large-scale puppet company Snuff Puppets are building the biggest human puppet in the world…at 26.5 metres!

The company’s sold-out premiere season of Everybody (November, 2012) featured the genesis of our giant human puppet ‘Everybody’, complete with detachable giant parts including a mouth, eye, nose, ear, foot, guts and even poo.

Now Everybody is growing. We are toiling away in our Footscray laboratory, Everybody is laid out on the slab. We’re growing giant skin cultures to stretch over bamboo bones, pumping air into inflatable lungs and injecting blood through a giant, beating heart. Intestines are being strewn across tables and shiny, soft hair is spinning from a giant loom.

Everybody, is a giant 26.5m long reclining puppet human, with detachable body parts and organs. Our troupe of performers/puppeteers will activate and manipulate the huge puppet body, performing in and around it in many of the giant body parts and organ puppets. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to interact, sit on and explore the body.

Everybody is a visceral exploration of the human body, featuring an original live soundscape and score. Part installation, part giant roaming puppets, part theatrical performance, Everybody will be presented outdoors and FREE.
