The Australian Cyclists Party is standing candidates in the Victorian State election on 29 November 2014.
We need your pledge to help fund our campaign.
Our aim is a more cycle-friendly Victoria. We believe that cycling can serve to liberate and inspire. It is a positive and powerful force for improving the health and well-being of individuals, our communities and our nation.

Why should you support us?
Over 3.6 million people ride a bicycle regularly in Australia today. Despite this, government does not provide adequate facilities or look after the safety of those who do ride or would ride a bicycle. The Australian Cyclists Party was formed to transform government policy towards cycling and realise its benefits in community health, education, planning, transport, regional development, economic vitality and environmental sustainability.
We are a registered political party in Victoria (as well as Federally and in NSW) and will contest Victorian Upper House Regions with a strong group of candidates.
We have created this Pozible campaign to raise funds in order to promote our candidates - so that we can make Victoria more cycle-friendly!

How The Funds Will Be Used
Our main need is as much campaign promotion as we can afford! We have some fixed costs, some heavily discounted fees from service-providers and the main variable cost is printing and online advertising.
Our $5000 Pozible funding goal for the Victorian election will cover:
- Cost of Pozible rewards and fees $1600
- Campaign materials and advertising – online and offline $1200
- Pre-election printing (banners, cards, posters) $800
- Polling day printing (how to vote cards, corflute signs, banners) $1400
We have already spent $1760 on banners and printing (not included in the above budget) but this will only be reimbursed from funds raised in excess of our funding goal.
Please note: each candidate is self-funding the $350 VEC fee for standing in the election - no Pozible money will go towards paying candidates, officials or members of the Australian Cyclists Party.

The Challenges
We are up against some well-funded and very experienced opponents. But we have a team of passionate people who are doing their absolute best to ensure we accurately represent the Australian Cyclists Party's values and earn the votes of Victorians. Standing for Parliament is a huge step, and a huge responsibility if we are elected. But we're up for the challenge!
