What is Grrl Fest?
Grrl Fest is an independent music and arts festival celebrating and supporting women-identified artists! Entering it's 3rd year, Grrl Fest has gotten too big for its boots/stilettos and we need help to meet the requirements of this fast growing festival.

Why is Grrl Fest important?
More than just the best party of the year on the Melbourne calendar, Grrl Fest is an important community event that aims to strengthen vital networks across a diverse range of women. We also noticed the disturbing disparity of female-identified representation at Australian music festivals and within the arts industry. So GF is here to equal the playing field!
Plus, why the hell not?

Where and When?
The next Grrl Fest will be taking place at the Northcote Town Hall and Civic Square on Saturday the 21st of March. Doors will open at 12 midday and close at 1am. Entry will be $15 for the entire festival (Pozible prize opportunity!).
Grrl Fest has outgrown its humble warehouse beginnings, and so we have worked hard to find an appropriate venue. Our requirements were that of a www.vimeo.com/92025928non-commercial venue with multiple areas for music, markets, exhibitions and workshops!
We were also adamant that this years event will be 100% wheelchair accessible, which we feel is a vital condition for ethical community orientated event production.
Your generous contributions will be helping towards the costings of the following:
Venue Hire: $2500
Public Liability Insurance: $875
Equipment (sound, lighting, staging, rigging): $1100
Security (legal requirement of the venue): $850
Liquor License: $130
This already totals over our Pozible target of $5000!
Additional costs covered by Grrl Fest are:
Advertising: $500
Posters: $240
Performer Fees: $4000%20
T-shirt Production: $550
Bar supplies: $1000%20
ETC - Plus hundred of hours of organising from Amy Broomstick, Grrl Fest Director.
The difficulty of finding an appropriate and 100% wheelchair accessible venue has put some time constraints on Grrl Fest.
It is now a rush to the finish line but nothing we can't handle!
