'Happiness' is a  picture book created to generate discussion with children - it also seems to be liked by adults! I wrote and illustrated it back in 2007, and decided to self publish after several rejections with encouraging comments attached. I would really love to share it with a larger audience, and there is an opportunity to market it at 5 international book fairs: BookExpo America, Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, Guadalajara Book Fair, Beijing Book Fair.  

This would be a great opportunity for exposure to major publishers and international rights agents, gain publicity and build a larger audience. 

Supporters of $6 or more get the book in some form, as well as warm feelings such as empowerment and satisfaction in helping share Happiness around the world :)

I need assistance because my budget from freelance teaching doesn't stretch to marketing. 

In addition to promotion at the book fairs, the costs include a membership fee to Pubmatch.com, a platform that facilitates dialogue between authors, publishers and other relevant parties. The total cost of promotion quoted by the publishing house is $USD 1349. Anything over this amount will go toward future marketing costs.

Time limit is the major obstacle for this year, I need to agree to the promotion package within the next week, payable in stages. I had forgotten about it due to the fact it's outside my budget, until a friend mentioned crowd-funding.
