We are a bunch of Byron Bay Folke with an aim to create clothing that is 100% organic, ethically made, and a brand that embodies the ocean, natural beauty & the spirit of where we live.
We are launching our T-shirt label, FOLKE, with a t-shirt called Forever Free. Our Forever Free tee is Australian made and feels good on all levels. We believe in karma fashion - what goes around comes around.
Our t-shirt is designed in Byron Bay, and made from sustainable chemical free 100% organic cotton (140gsm). Our tee will be made in a sweatshop free Sydney factory. The factory provides the workers with a safe, clean & enjoyable working environment, pays a fair wage, supplying high quality Australian made fabric, knitted from certified organic cotton. The ink used in the screen printing of our t-shirt is certified organic ink. Our Forever Free t-shirt sample used in these photos was made in the Sydney factory and we are in love with the feel & quality of the t-shirt & are 100% confident in our supplier delivering quality made t-shirts. Our friends love the feel too!

Marketing
We will market FOLKE through Instagram using a visual journey of the brand. Customers will be able to click on the link in Instagram and go directly to the online store to purchase the Forever Free t-shirt.
Team
Howdy - I'm Francis Cloake - the part-time Exectuive Officer at Byron United - Byron Bay's Chamber of Commerce and also a freelancer of many trades:) I've joined forces with a bunch of free-spirited local youth who love Byron Bay, fashion & social media. We inspire each other with ideas like changing youth's perception on fast fashion, how to practice karma business, & how to follow your dreams without ripping off the planet or anyone else along the way.
How The Funds Will Be Used
The $5,000 will go toward the Forever Free t-shirt - production & stock of 260 fashion t-shirts, plus swing tags & packaging.
Anything extra will go towards the Summer Forever Collection (samples, production of three t-shirts, stock of 750 t-shirts, swing tags & packaging cost = total $12,000)

The Challenges
Our biggest challenge is to overcome the common attitude towards fast fashion. We want to show the younger generation a new way of approaching fashion and shopping that contradicts their existing consumer practices, without making anyone feel bad about themselves.
