Hi I'm Ali E; I am a musician from Melbourne. I've just finished recording my 6-track EP with producer and engineer Anna Laverty at Sing Sing South, as a follow-up to my album, 'Landless'. The EP is a collection of songs I've written over the past couple of years and includes heaps of guest appearances from other musos in the Melbourne music scene including Anna Gordon (Mangelwurzel, Barons of Tang), Bez and Giuls (Twin Beasts), Jess Ribeiro, Lucy Rash (Tantrums, Forest Falls), Rich Davies (King Wolf, The Devils Union), Katie Scott and Matt Storey (Howl at the Moon), and Ceci Dowling (Hoy).



I've released two singles from the EP, 'We Are Strangers' and 'Seagull'. I've also just put out a music video for the first single 'We Are Strangers', check it out below.

I'll be officially launching and releasing the full EP in June this year, and this Pozible project is to raise some funds to get a bunch of copies of the EP pressed and released as both 10" vinyl and CDs. #alievinyl!!

Your pledges will act as a fundraiser and a pre-sale for the vinyl and CDs. If you pledge an amount you'll see the EP become something you can physically hold and listen to.

There is a variety of options and formats for the EP, plus a whole bunch of other cool stuff! Take your pick! If you order the vinyl or CD during this campaign you will get either an advance copy or one around the same time as the actual release date; so you won't be waiting around for weeks afterwards!

Most of the main costs I face will be the vinyl pressing (that stuff aint cheap!), so the majority of the funds raised - $2000 - will be put directly towards the costs of this (it will be pressed in USA via Pirates Press on orange transparent vinyl); and $250 will be put towards the manufacture of CDs. This amount of $2250 will help with a lot of the costs of production.

If there are funds raised over the $2250 target 20% of them will be donated to Animals Australia.





I have funded every other aspect of the recording, production, releasing and promotion (and will be funding the national tour with the full band in the future) of this EP.
