It is about time Attic Erratic took flight and headed to the biggest Fringe Fest in the world. Rather than take it easy, we have decided to take THREE shows!

TRIPPED, the critically acclaimed story of Norm and Ahmed airing out Australian race relations in the desert, enjoyed hugely successful seasons at the Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, performing to sold out houses and earning two five star reviews. Ten Stars! Described as 'shocking, funny and enormously enlightening', TRIPPED is a hugely important piece of theatre, challenging racial stereotypes and questioning the source of racial tensions in Australia. At a time when our immigration policies have received global condemnation, we think it's pretty important to get Tripped to Edinburgh and show the international audience that we want to challenge the current state of race relations, and that we are not on board with Tone's Team Australia. 

To balance out the serve of politics, we are also serving up some top-notch comedy. In associated with C Venues, we are very pleased to be producing Angus Brown's GET READY. GET SET. AHHH F*%K IT and the world premiere of Liam O'Kane's CENTRED: A ONE CLOWN COMEDY ABOUT STUFF. 

We're doing our bit for the Aussie invasion of Edinburgh: with comedy, clowning and race relations, we think we've covered all our bases. The only problem is that we're a bit short of cash. 

Attic Erratic is an independent, not-for-profit theatre company. We don't receive any regular funding, but seek sponsorship and support for individual projects so that we can produce the high quality theatre that has come to be expected of us, and pay the creatives who work so hard to realise each venture. Touring one show, let alone three, is pretty costly. We've done our best to minimise costs (we're recycling actors all over the shop) but we still need a wee bit of help to get our team to Scotland.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the biggest Fringe Festival in the world. As independent theatre makers and Australians, taking very Australian work to the Festival, we will have to prove that we are worth the ticket price over the countless other shows on offer. 
We are aware of the obstacles we face and we are making sure that we are in Edinburgh with ample time to do pre-publicity. We are going to cross promote between the three shows and make sure that we have early reviews.
