Wellington is a wonderful place to live. Growing up in the 60s and 70s can be idyllic. You live with people you love, you work, you know the whole city. Until you are raped by a group, led by the man at his engagement to your best friend.

People will believe in someone who means something to them. Toni tried to tell her best friend about the rape, but how could he have done it? Her friends turned against her and she couldn’t face her future.

Toni left to live in Brisbane, Australia, finding a different, wonderful city which she felt good in. She worked, she lived, she dated a new guy.

Her new boyfriend, Rafe, was just wonderful. Toni met his parents, saw his own house, and heard about his previous life. He wasn’t strange, just quiet because of his own history. She felt drawn in and told him about her past, and he suggested some very good recovery. She was getting better.

But very soon her past would catch up with her. Her previous best friend, who had turned against her in Wellington, ended up in Brisbane with a broken arm, and came to stay with Toni. Her husband, who had broken her arm – and who had led the rape of Toni – would also turn up looking for his wife. And Toni.

Her life was back into her own history and she had to get past it.

More than a year ago this was written and finished before I ended up in hospital. Now I am working with a very good publisher who is patiently waiting for the funds to get this printed. I know you can help!

Your donation will pay the publisher and the printer. My publisher is based in Redcliffe, pretty much just around the corner from me, and the printer is on the southside of Brisbane. The publisher will make sure the book is ready to go to the printer, and will get me an ISBN. After the printing is done the printer will courier all my books back to my publisher who will let me know that it's ready to go.

The costs are spent like this:
- consultancy for publisher
- ISBN
- printing
- finished product couriered back to publisher
- consultancy continues with publisher to make sure it's okay
