"Duplicate" is a large scale short film production created and being produced by final year graduating Curtin Screen Arts students. The project is set to test our skills and push our film making abilities and talent into the professional arena.
The film follows a hard-nosed detective who breaks protocol in order to save an innocent girl's life caught up in a national genetic cloning operation. However, the biological manufacturer commissioned to 'sustaining human life' commits every single resource to ensuring their profitable operation doesn't stop.

How The Funds Will Be Used
For a student short film, our production is very ambitious. Your incredibly helpful donations (down to the single dollar) will carry us through to making this exciting project burst to life!
You'll help us by covering costs with:
- Charlotte's futuristic Production Design; elaborately Sci-Fi props, costumes and set dressing,
- Action Vehicle rentals; which we'll deck out as our Police cars,
- Professional Armourer; supplying us genuine replica firearms to make the gunfight even hotter! and,
- Crew and Cast catering; boosting our energy and moral on-set every day we shoot.
Here's a simple breakdown of our Production costs to give you an idea of what we're up against:
- Make-Up/Hair, Prosthetic Materials + Artist = $320
- Special FX & Armoury Crew = $660
- Costumes - Make & Hire = $415
- Props & Set Dressing = $365
- Action Vehicles Hire & Fuel = $470
- Catering Cast & Crew (5 days) = $605
- Festival Admission Fees (x3 Local Film Festivals, x2 International) = $167
Total = $3002
minus -$1200 Curtin Uni Budget Contribution
Total Amount Outstanding = $1802
All addition funds raised will help us to submit and distribute our finished film into as many festivals as we can muster - 'duplicating' our chances as many times as we can to gain industry recognition and exposure!

The Challenges
The challenges ahead of us are both small and large yet not impossible as our production team is qualified and determined with both the attitude and the skills to achieve whatever it is we need. Challengers like locations and props, or limited filming time will not slow us down nor stop us. However with your support we can overcome any obstacle ahead of us.
