This story starts like many, it's a love story between 2 people.
Unfortunately our 2 star crossed lovers have the same reproductive organs and live in Australia.
They could live together, pay taxes together, raise a child together and even raise one who was not their own and had no place to call home. But they could never stand in front of the law and say iDO. It felt like Australia was destined to stay in the dark ages
Luckily this story has a hero, a gallant fellow who saw their troubles and thought this isn't right LOVE is LOVE and we need more not less. Surely they do no harm in fact it's quite a fine thing so in June, Gippsland MP Mr Darren Chester became the first Nationals MP to publicly support marriage equality.

O how the towns people of Gippsland rejoiced.
However not all cheered in fact some booed and took to the streets with pitchforks.
This  made our to lovers despair for all they wanted was to be was the same not different.
So a little local artist Pollyannar decided to show our 2 lovers that they were supported in the quest for true love not just by one lone photographer but the whole region. From the hills to the sea she wanted to show the 2 lovers all the towns people who believed in their right to love one other just like all the others and so The Big Picture was born in honor of love basic human rights.

Over the last 3 months Pollyannar and the iDO team has brought the white background to the main streets of towns across Gippsland photographing over 600 people who have so up to the plate and said I DO Support Marriage Equality in Gippsland. Pollyannar now can make voices of Gippsland heard by the world by creating one of the longest photographs in the world. Displayed on her giant inflatable wall it can make a  statement very few artworks can. It won't just show our wonder GLBT community that they are loved and supported but show the world that people from all walks of life, age, families, sexualities and genders support our the basic human right marriage equality and inspire change.
What started out as a online campaign has now gained the momentum to bring it life but we need your help!
This project has only been possible by the you the supporters and printing is no different.

Along with the BIG Picture we have designed a magazine filled with all the campaign photographs from Sale, Bairnsdale, Traralgon, Morwell, Walhalla, Warragul and Meeniyan.
Plus a Tote bag to keep the campaign going long after the BIG Picture.

How BIG we create this print depends on much funds we raise.

To print this print you need a 2 things a big printer and a printer who knows how to print on the big printer. There is only one printing lab in the WORLD who print a true photographic print and that's CPL in Melbourne. It takes mad genius
Darren Rokahr over 8 hours of continuous printing to reach this goal and a couple of days of test printing.
It is printed of on a special photographic printer that uses light not ink making it the highest quality, a true photograph and totally one of a kind. Just one fault and the whole process has to start again.
This picture is more of a sculpture then a photograph is a labor of love but love isn't free or cheap
After printing it then needs to be encapsulated (laminated on both sides) This ensures the picture is totally water and weather proof so it will for lasting forever!
Again this requires a lot of skill if Brad my laminator, if he strays just 1 cm off course it will run off the laminate and we have to start over again!
