Having been in sports since a tender age of 8, I've been constantly challenged by the pressure of performing the best I could but some people say I'm crazy to enjoy it. Having the passion to push my body beyond my limits goes well with my motto,  "Agi Idup Agi Nelaban" which is an Iban warrior's motto which means 'as long as I live I will fight'.

I also took interest in cycling and running, and in 2005, without even having my own race bike, I  I went on to win Malaysia's first SEA games gold medal in triathlon. In 2007, I competed, and once again, won gold.


Fast forward to 2015, after the sport wasn't competed in the SEA Games for many years, I was delighted when I heard that triathlon is making its debut at the 2015 Singapore SEA Games so I decided to make a come back. All my sponsors supported my move, and I got back into training. However, all that was cut-short when one morning as I was out training on my bike, I got hit by a car from behind and suffered from a head injury that left me in ICU for 8 days. A month later, when I came out of the hospital, my view on sports and competing changed.

My friend Melissa Raj has agreed to help me with this entire book project and to oversee it from start to finish. The money will go towards the expenses to self publish this book which involve the following stages and costs:

1) Article/News research, photo-research, Editing, Proof-reading, Interviewing key people, Creative Design will be RM8,000 - RM10,000
2) The printing of 500 books to begin with is RM5,000
3) Funding for my book launch in June RM1,000
4) Pozible (crowdfunding) %,  and credit card transaction fees - roughly RM1,500

Total is (10,000 + 5,000 + 1,000 + 1,500) = RM17,500

None as this is a self publishing book project.
