Hi, I'm James Bowers. Some of you might know me through playing music or seeing gigs. Some of you may be familiar with me through a strange video of a man in a chicken suit floundering with a loop pedal and melodica. Some might have met me through strange circumstantial twists of fate or distant friends of friends who are friends with your friends. Others may not know me at all. This is all great, and I'm glad you are here reading this.

Regardless of how we are connected, it's come to a point where I must now call on your support. There is a moment in everyone's life where they have to let go of their pride and ask those around them to help them realise their hopes and desires. I have a dream; the moment is now.

My goal is simple:

I'd like to go down to my local, The Great Northern, and purchase a pub meal consisting of a chicken parmigiana and a pint of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale.

However, a fine establishment such as the Great Northern can't simply give away tastily prepared chicken with a side of ale to everyone that walks in off the street. These things come at a cost. To be specific, $22 all up.

This is where you come in. As a musician, barely making enough to meet rent, I simply can't afford to stroll down to the pub and get a bite to eat whenever I feel like it. So I call on you, my friends and friends-to-be, to help me achieve this. It's only with your help that I'll be able to sit down and enjoy a delicious pub meal with a fresh, hoppy brew to wash it down.

Important Update:

Due to absolutely unforeseen levels of support, I've been forced to decide what to do with all this extra money you legendary human beings have given to this project (which is totally and utterly ludicrous, by the way.) I was toying with the idea of going and getting a parma every day until the money ran out, but then decided on an idea which could get you wonderful people involved. Those who've chosen the $40 reward are obviously already entitled to this, but I'm going to open it up to anyone who has given any amount at all:

I'm going to try and get as many people to come to the Great Northern in Carlton North on the 29th of April (parma special) to come and buy a chicken parma. With all the excess money I currently have in this project, I can afford to shout 10 parmas at $13 a pop which includes the cut that Pozible will take (also including the parma/bevy owed to the two $40 donations so far). I'm going to be giving these parmas away to people, and all you have to do to get one is to contact me.

I'd love to get some fun things to read/see so entries accepted will need to be one of the following:

- a video response
- a haiku/short poem/short story
- one or more pictures of a dog with an attempt at giving it a suitable/comedic name (you're not allowed to actually know the dogs name)
- something else that you think I might enjoy

Obviously this is only open to 8 people (2 of these 10 are already reserved for the $40 legends) so it'll be the first 8 that I get. If for some absolutely bizarre reason people still continue to fund this project (which would be awesome), then I'll just be choosing more people based on how much I like whatever you send me.
