SO WHAT EXACTLY IS 'PENNY'?

'Penny' is a short film we are producing in partnership with Dromana 3 Drive-In cinema as a 'proof of concept' for a feature film.

The feature film is written and investors are attached, however as we are not Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg, we need to prove we are capable of producing a high-end, high production value film so our investors can secure funding!

Can we do it? HECK YES WE CAN!



SO WHAT'S THIS SHORT FILM ABOUT?

Set in the 1950's at an Australian Drive-In cinema, 'Penny' is about a scruffy young cleaner who works at the Drive-In named Timmy. All Timmy ever wanted is one dance with his dream girl 'Penny', the best dancer in town, but there's a little problem...Timmy can't dance.

With help from his best friend and Drive-In car hop girl Donna, Timmy is determined to do what he has to, to get that dance and win Penny's heart.






SO WHO'S MAKING THIS FILM?

If we want a great production we need to get a great production team on board! Final Focus Australia, a company that specialises in cinema advertising and video marketing content will be producing this film complete from script to screen.

Our main partner on board is Australia's greatest Drive-In cinema, The Dromana 3 Drive-In. The owners Paul and Shelley Whitaker are supporting this project 100% and have allowed for us to shoot on their premises over the course of 5 days. Additionally, the premiere of this film also will be held at The Drive-In at a yet to be determined date.

SO WHERE'S ALL THIS MONEY GOING?

All funds raised will go towards production costs and include paying for:

- Catering
- Props
- Costumes
- Music Production
- Film rating for premiere
- Specialised filming equipment including outdoor balloon lights etc.


AND WHAT IF WE RAISE MORE THAN WE NEED?

If by luck we are to raise more than the required $5,000, all additional funds will be separated between being injected into the film to further increase production value, paying for cast and crew (who are currently giving all their time and efforts for free) and into additional marketing for the film.

Absolutely! You have two options here...

1. If you are local and are able to come down to Dromana 3 Drive-In you are more than welcome to join us for the premiere, at a yet to be determined date.

2. If you are an international supporter, or are unable to attend the premiere, we will be uploading the film the day after and will be send out a link and password so all our supporters can watch it in glorious HD quality. (This link will only be available to supporters.)
